Following graduation from the New York School of Interior Design, Lauren Pravetz started her career working for Liza Lerner, Inc. in Manhattan before moving on to the senior designer position at Charlotte Barnes Interior Design in Greenwich, CT.  After relocating to Chicago, she has ventured out on her own, founding Lauren Pravetz Interior Design.

Lauren has experience managing projects throughout the country including multiple homes throughout New York and Connecticut, numerous Chicago apartments, seasonal homes in Newport and Delray Beach, homes on Lake Waramaug in New Preston, CT and a ski house in Woodstock, VT, to name a few.

While Lauren’s style is rooted in traditional themes, she embraces the use of contemporary elements such as artwork, accent pieces, textiles and furniture to keep her projects looking fresh and young. The look is a harmonious blend of then and now, each project a reflection of her clients’ own intrinsic taste and style.

Lauren is highly organized, detail-oriented and balances her own design sense with the needs of her clients. Her signature approach always leads to a comfortable space, with clean lines and an elegant, yet still lived-in feel.
